Spoon Links
UNDER CONSTRUCTION June 2016
I am glad to be able to gather a page of other spoon carvers for your pleasure. If you know of any spoon carvers that I don’t have listed, please send me an e-mail.
(* = New Link as of June 2016.)
My first link is reserved for Pinewood Forge because his photos of spoons for the mouth inspired me from the start to get back into carving. Also because he makes great carving knives. I highly recommend them for anyone wanting to get into carving spoons.
Hout van Bomen By Jan Harm ter Brugge in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Translated, the title means Wood From Trees. I’m Dutch, married to a Norwegian, this page is the perfect mix of both. Thankfully they also provide an English summary.
Kasikci (Spoonmaker) Zeki Celikci You won’t be able to buy these spoons on the internet, but I loved the pictures and thought it was worth while to advertise it.
Norman D. Stevens has been collecting wooden spoons from carvers around the world for the last 6+ years and has gathered 300, or more by now. A sampling of his collection can be seen here and his latest book, with more spoons can be found on Amazon.
If you have questions or are looking for spoon carving feedback, please check out this group on Facebook Spoon Carving, Green Woodworking, and Sloyd At this point in life, I am not reliable feed back, though I love a hello now and then. In this group you will have hundreds of carvers who can much better answer your questions.
